From Referral to First Session
Your journey with CassyCare begins once your coordinator sends us the official referral. An Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) isn't just paperwork—it’s your personalized roadmap. Our infant specialists will sit down with your family to review every goal, translating clinical objectives into joyful, play-based activities that fit naturally into your child's daily routine.
01. The Referral
Once your coordinator sends us the referral, we'll reach out to your family to schedule our first playdate with purpose.
02. Plan Review
We review the IFSP together to ensure we’re aligned with your family’s goals and your child's developmental needs.
03. Session Build
Our infant specialists build each session around these goals, creating a safe space for your child to learn through play.
What to Expect During Our Journey Together
We believe that growth happens in the spaces where your child feels most at home. Our process is designed to be gentle, purposeful, and entirely child-led, ensuring every session bridges developmental gaps through the joy of play.
Phase 1
The First Session: A Meaningful Hello
Think of it as a playdate with purpose. Your infant specialist will introduce themselves, learn about your daily routine, and review goals together. We focus on building a connection where your child feels safe and seen from the very start.
Phase 2
A Typical 45-Minute Playdate
5 min: Hellos and parent check-in
10 min: Activity for goal one
10 min: Activity for goal two
10 min: Activity for goal three
5 min: Goodbyes and session recap
Phase 3
Measuring Growth: BDI-3 Assessments
Every six months, we conduct a formal assessment using the BDI-3—a standardized tool that measures development across all five areas. This play-based process unfolds over 3-4 sessions, ensuring a complete and accurate picture of your child's progress.

An Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) is a personalized roadmap outlining your child's developmental goals and the specific services provided to reach them. Our specialists review this with you to ensure every session is focused on what matters most to your family.
How do we get started?
Once your regional coordinator sends us a referral, our infant specialists will reach out to schedule your first session. We take the time to learn your family’s routine and goals, turning everyday moments into powerful learning opportunities through play.
